Dealing With Sacred Junk
When you finally put down roots, there is a tendency to accumulate too much "stuff".
This falls into two broad categories: secular possessions and sacred items.
Accumulate enough possessions and some of the sacred items become "sacred junk" tools that you've outgrown and no longer use.
And face it, being born is an automatic death sentence with an indeterminate stay of execution.
So what happens to all the sacred junk you've accumulated when you pass on? For that matter, what happens to your working tools when you pass on? It's alright for the secular possessions to be sold, but what to do with the sacred items?
Frankly not everyone wants your sacred items, junk or otherwise. Should you let them be sold or just discarded? Bearing in mind the executor of your estate may not be aware of their nature.
Mind you, most of these still carry the imprint of the magic you performed with them. Which means you should have provisions in place for deactivating the lot.
Either that or risk handing some poor sod a ticking magical time bomb.
